UO Locker Room  Eugene, Oregon

In 2002, Corey Martin of PATH Architecture partnered with Rob Lamb to form M1C2 inc. The firm's first major project was the design of a renovation of the weight training room for The University of Oregon athletic teams. Upon the successful completion of the weight room the U of O Athletic department asked M1C2 to walk down the hall and take a look at what could be done to "repaint the old football team locker room and install some new wood lockers." Corey and Rob took the request as an invitation to push the boundaries of what a locker room can be and 10 frantic months later the Oregon football players and coaches walked into their new elliptically shaped gathering space, complete with a mezzanine locker area overlooking the entire room, actively-ventilated lockers, a state of the art A/V and lighting system, a newly customized press room and a giant vertical lift door at the end of it all to deliver the players to Autzen Stadium on game day. The U of O Football locker room is now the standard by which all football team locker rooms are judged, both professional and collegiate.
